Today I had to remind myself
That I am enough
Just as I am
That there is nothing that I can do that will add value to who I want to be
That there is no price tag that can be placed on my peace
And that, sometimes, I must walk away from things I’ve always known so that I can discover who I was destined to become.
Your comment reminds me a great deal of the comment made
by one of America’s most formidable women, Eleanor Roosevelt,
when she noted:
“I AM WHO I AM TODAY,
BECAUSE OF THE CHOICES
I MADE YESTERDAY.”
That’s a wonderful quote. Each day we have the opportunity to remember these simple truths and to build a life around them.
So true. I have experienced in my career when my present gets too comfortable or well known its time for me to advance and get excited to try new things.
One should always be prepared for new doors that sometimes open unexpectedly. I call it continuous development.
Yes! We must be prepared to walk away from the old to step into the new.
What is the point of further existence if not to become better in some way?
(Please forgive me. I came to this site via Joshua Becker and should really read older blog posts, for context, before commenting. But I couldn’t see how to sign up for more posts without leaving a comment. Looking forward to more.)
Hi Abraham, thanks for your comment. Learning that ‘becoming better’ isn’t tied to what we ‘do’ has brought great perspective and peace. Thanks for joining me on this journey!
I really “felt” your message today in Becoming Minimalist! Thanks for writing it!
I’m so glad it spoke to you in such a real way. Thanks for reading!
Love your blog. Please add me to your email list.
Thank you, Stacey!

Thank you, Annette. I’m happy to share this journey!
Just read your “Can Simple Be Enough” on Joshua Becker’s “Becoming Minimalist“ and wanted to hear more of what you had to say on your Blog.
As I posted in Joshua’s Uncluttered Course: “I desire to own less so I can have more time with my family, enjoy my home, welcome company, and do away with stress-causing clutter.”
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I look forward to reading more.
Hope you make your day WONDERFUL!
Thank you, Linda, and thanks for reading!
yes, we are completed and enough. our nature is love and that’s all, there is really nothing we can do to become who we want to be. We are living love.
Beautifully said, thank you.
